Ohio Mentorship Program

Dec. 10, 2012–Jan. 18, 2013

Ohio semifinalists, to be announced on Dec.10, 2012, will be matched with experienced entrepreneurs and technical experts, who will work closely with teams to evaluate and adjust their commercialization strategy. These mentors will help each semifinalist team refine and strengthen their materials and live investor pitch for the Ohio Competition on Jan. 28 & 29, 2013. The Ohio team that advances to the Midwest regional competition and possibly the National competition, will receive further guidance and mentorship opportunities. Mentors should engage the teams in critical thinking, challenge their technical and business strategy, provide constructive criticism, assist the teams in developing their overall pitch, and be available to make introductions to networks and other resources, where appropriate.

Student teams are highly encouraged to work with mentors during the application development phase. 

Midwest Regional Mentorship Program

Beginning Feb. 1, 2013 

Following the Ohio Competition, the team advancing to the Midwest regional competition will be assigned two mentors through Clean Energy Trust– one generalist and one specialist – matched specifically to complement their needs.
