About Us

The University Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio (UCEAO) is a statewide organization serving the needs of its members by supporting clean energy research, strengthening education, promoting a strong and vibrant business community, and enhancing Ohio’s advanced energy economy.

Our History

The University Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio (UCEAO) was founded by fifteen universities in the state of Ohio who came together in 2007 in recognition of the importance of advanced energy research, education and commercialization for the environmental and economic wellbeing of the state and the nation. The founding member universities have been joined by community and technical colleges, government laboratories, private colleges and universities, research institutions and business organizations.

To share expertise in the areas of clean and alternative energy generation among the members and with Ohio organizations interested in providing solutions to the energy challenges facing our state and our mission

To promote energy education and research

To inform energy policy decision makers with unbiased, reliable data

To provide a single collective message about energy issues from our academic government and industrial affiliates and partners.
